Retro Rock 50s & 60s, 22 November

Sydney band Retro Rock 50s & 60s are joining us at Canberra Deakin Football Club for a night of rock’n’roll and dancing on 22 November. The band will play from 7 to 11pm, doors open at 6:30, and the cost is $30 for members and $35 for guests. We’ll have line/partner dancing as well as rock’n’roll during most band breaks.

Beginner Rock’n’Roll Lessons start 23 November

Sonja and Edwin will be teaching a Beginner Rock’n’Roll course starting on 23 November at the Slovenian Club in Phillip. Further classes will be held on 30 November (at the Slovenian Club) and 7 December (at Dance Edge in Tuggeranong) and 14 December (back at the Slovenian Club). Classes start at 2pm and finish at 3. We will have music for social dancing and practice from 3:15 at the Slovenian Club on 23 & 30 November and 14 December. Plan to stay around and enjoy a drink and chat with other Club members

This is a 4-lesson course costing $40 for the full course, or $10 per session. All students must be current members of Southside Rock’n’Roll Club. Club membership costs $20 per year.

Christmas Party with Nic and His Hipshots on 20 December

Our final event for 2025 is our Christmas Party on 20 December at Canberra Deakin Football Club.
